Reminder about posting photos!!!

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that if you post a picture from somewhere or someone, please indicate where the photo came from. If it is yours, say so. If it's from EBay, just mention that. If you don't know who to credit the photo to, use something along the lines of Photographer Unknown.

If you are the photographer of a picture posted on these forums and there is no credit given, please send a PM to yfdgricker. I'll gladly edit the post and add your information for the photo credits to a post.

I have recently had a picture of mine copied and used as a refrigerator magnet sold on Ebay. I have began marking my photographs to make something like that difficult. I have also complained to Ebay two times and each time the listing was removed and re-listed and I will continue to hound Ebay each time this occurs.

The seller is listed from Thailand with numerous pages of listings similar to that one, most likely with pirated photos. I'm attempting find out what actions can be taken on my behalf.

I'll share this story with you....
      When we had the last Winter Olympics my friends brother who is from here  was in the games as a speed skater for the U.S.     and someone got a bunch of stores to sell these bumper stickers with his name on them...saying how the $ was gonna be used for his parade that was gonna happen the weekend after the games were done....Talked to his sister abt it and she said he wasn't coming home till June...so I looked into and this guy was runing his company out of his garage in FL.   and had alot of legal issues going on...so I passed it on to a friend in the DA's office and after a yr long investigation wich included other states the guy was arrested  ...Hes faceing charges in all 50 states and in Canada...

Thanks for sharing. I will pursue this issue as far as I am able. The magnets are only $1.50, but it is the principle of the matter that the picture of the tractor is NOT his.

        I DON'T THINK THIS  PROBLEM WILL EVER GO AWAY ,
A FRIEND OF MIND  CAUGHT A GUY SELLING MY  PHILA PICTURES  WITH MY NAME  ON THEM THAT HE DOWN  LOADED AND PRINTED . AMAMZING  .MY FRIEND  IS A FED AND THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM

I KNOW THERE ARE SOME  RIGHT HERE  THAT I SEND  PHOTOS TO FOR THEIR COLLECTION AND THEY GET POSTED HERE . NO PROBLEM   THE IDEA IS TO EDUCATE  AND SHARE  WHAT I HAVE
