Lexington Kentucky is the state's 2nd largest city located in the center of the state where I-64 & I-75 intersect. Population is around 280,000 and 280 square miles. A volunteer fire department was founded in 1790, with the career department formed in 1864. In 1973 the city of Lexington & Fayette County governments merged, creating the current "metro-government". Lexington has 22 stations running out of them are 22 engines, 7 ladders, 9 EMS units, 1 rescue & 2 HazMat rigs. Also each shift has 5 district majors & 1 shift commander (battalion chief). In 2008 the department responded to over 30,000 runs.

Another HME/Smeal, this is Engine 12's 1997, the only one that has a 500 gallon tank, there's 10 HME/Smeal engines in Lexington.

Engine 20-200? Pierce Dash 1500/1000
Engine 22-2005 Pierce Dash 1500/1000
Engine 23-2005 Pierce Dash 1500/100 30A/30B. This rig is stationed at old Lexington Army Depot, a private contractor does military helicopter repair at the site, hence the bumper mounted nozzle. Station 23 also has an older Oshkosh ARFF.

The old brush rig, Engine 3 a 1966 Kaiser 6-wheel, is long gone. They now use this 1986 Intl/Steeldraulics 1000/1000, former Engine 17.
Brush 1-2005 Ford F-350 150/200, there's a 2nd similar brush truck at Station 14.
