Juvenile Fire Fatality Warren Ohio

A toddler age 4 succumed to the effects of a fire yesterday on the north end of Warren. The child was unresponsive at the scene and was ultimately transported to Akron  Burn Center and was pronounced at 1:00 AM last night. A very sad day for the family and the entire city of Warren. WFD arrived well under 4 minutes with 3 apparatus.The chief and assistant chief arrived ahead of the fire units and made entry upon word of civilians still in the structure. A woman, part of that family, apparently attempted to extinguish the fire it is believed but the lethal gases emitted have claimed one young innocent life and have left a young adult in critical condition. Further invesigation is now underway to determine the cause of this tragedy.
