Truck 7's old TL, 1989 LTI Olympian ST-2000 100'. Replaced in 2000 by a Ferrara tower, then destroyed when the city repair shops burned down in 2006.

The results of the accident between Sq-2 & Trk-4 in September. Couldn't get better photos, the squad cant move & no one wants to touch the truck, cant blame them! Truck 4 clipped the back of Squad 2's box headed to a working fire, Squad 2 flipped onto the officer side and slid for almost 100 feet. The squad is totaled, no word on Truck 4, the ladder hasn't been examined yet.

The squad will be running Engine 13's old 1989 Seagrave for the time being, no word on replacing it. Truck 4 is using the 1989 Seagrave ladder, again. Here's Engines 10 & 11 sitting idle at station 13.

Wasn't their squad involved in an MVA previously and that is how the box got put on the Pierce cab/chassis? Or am I thinking someplace different?

Yes the squad was involved in an mva several years back. This back box was rebuilt by ffa on the orgional pierce chasis. I believe it was squad 2 then became squad 4 after it was rebuilt.

That is correct, Squad 2 was in a serious crash on the Borman expressway & was Squad 4 at the time, you can see the door in the 2nd photo. That crash wasn't as serious, this time the frame is bent all to hell unfortunately.

As of right now, what is Gary's current fleet, with the recent closings?

Those last two trucks look U-G-L-Y! Hope they can do something with them. Anyone have any photos of Gary's Mack MCs?

Are you referring to the wrecked rigs or the Pierce twins?  They're all four ugly  ;D

I thought he meant the totaled squad & almost totaled Truck 13, which is sometimes in-service. Those Pierce's have held up quite well despite what they go through. As for what's left of the department, not much. The other day it was 7 engines & 1 truck, the squad was running with a spare 1989 Seagrave engine.

I saw 2 slides of the Mack MCs on ebay the other day, mikebzfd was the seller but the price got to rich for my blood. I remember those Macks didn't last long, one almost fell apart when it went over a RR crossing. Here's one of the last Mack CFs though, one of mike's slides.

I knew he meant those two, LOL.  I was just making a joke about the inherent unattractiveness of Pierce's designs.  However knowing nothing of Gary FD, how many stations were closed?

My sarcasm meter was off, lol. Some of us think they look good, but I do miss the old Ford/E-Ones. Until a few years ago there was 1 left at the airport. The '89 Seagraves, you can roll down a hill, insult their mother & they will still run. Gary almost bought several engines from ALF in 2008 but there was that pesky bankruptcy & issues with Truck 1. Station closure is on a "rolling brownout" schedule anymore. Station 10 has been closed for almost 3 years, 11 is closed most of the time. Usually it's a company instead of a house, like Engine 1 being OOS but Trk-1 is in-service. Station 2 only has the squad anymore & 13 is usually the truck.
