Hello from Berlin - Germany

Hello,
my name is Dirk and I live in Berlin - Germany. I found this forum by searching in the web and I see here a lot of interessant themes. I look for any information about Engines, Ladders or Rescues from South Carolina, St. Luise and the FDNY. It is very hard to get any information about new fireapparatus here in Germany, so I hope I found here something about this. My hobbies are to collect models from Code 3, the kitbash from German and US Firetrucks in H0 - Scale and anything around Fire Departments in the USA. If you have any questions about me, please ask me!
Greats
Dirk

Hello Dirk
My name is Rick, just wanted to welcome you. I'm sure you will find all kinds of information on this board. I myself am amazed at the information about the fire apparatus posted on this site. There are truely some of the greatest apparatus historians on this site. Plus you will see photos of every kind of emergency apparatus every made. I hope you can post lots of photos and information from your area. Again welcome to forums.

Dirk,
Welcome aboard for sure. Jump on the tailboard for a fun, pictorial and informative ride. If I can be of any help...do not hesitate to ask.
Willkommen an Bord sicher. Springen Sie auf der Heckklappe für ein Spaß, Bild-und Informationsmaterial zu fahren. Wenn ich Ihnen irgendwie behilflich sein ... zögern Sie nicht uns zu fragen.

Welcome Dirk! This is a great site. A little bit of everything here. Your translation is not bad considering I do not speak any German.
Over time look back at some of the older posts. Kilos of information and photos here.
Have you heard of the Visiting Fireman book?

Hi Dirk,
Welcome to the forums! I'm glad you found good information here.
** Your translation is good enough for us. Much better than my translation to German **

The Visiting Fireman is a simi-annual publication of fire service enthusiasts from around the world. It has a long list of fire buffs and what their intrests are. For sale & wanted section, photos, stories... Take a look at their web site "visitingfireman.com".
It is a great publication!
