The City of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI is a Public Safety department.

The duty crew consists of two paramedics on duty each 24 hour shift.  Police meet the ambulance on scene and if needed an officer will drive the unit to the hospital.  In the case of a fire one FF Paramedic will drive the engine and the other will take the Medic unit, officers at the station will take the platform.  Both police and fire are housed in the same building.

The department covers 3.3 square miles with a population of 17,000 residents.  The response area is primarily residential with a mix of residential and retail.

This is the first red unit since the 70's acording to the department.  Althought the PICS don't show it the truck is actually metallic red.

I think this PIC shows it but it has red reflective chevrons on the rear.  Although I am not  a fan of them (At least in the same color as the rig), they do light up at night.

These are two PICS I was playing around with, the first shows the Timberwolf mechanical siren at a low angle (Which I really like) the other shows the rear chevrons when hit by light.

Very cool, you can barely see the chevrons in the light.  Have not seen this yet.  Great pics.
