Central Huron Ambulance Service -- Mid East (Thumb Area) -- Huron County

Central Huron Ambulance Service runs out of three stations in the thumb area of Michigan's lower peninsula.  They have a fleet of 10 trucks, form a mixed group of manufactuers. 

This unit is their first medium duty truck.

The first PIC is of the unit with the Mighty Mackinac Bridge in the background.  It connects the lower and upper peninsulas of Michigan. 

If you have never viewed the Mighty Mac in person it is massive, and something to see!  5 miles long (third longest suspension bridge in the world), the roadway is 220' above the water, the bridge can move or sway upto 35' in any one dirrection as needed.  Did I mention the middle two lanes are open grate!

This was my first crossing in a vehicle where you can easily see over the railings, and let me tell you it was a blast!  A very different feeling to say the least, to top it off high wind advisories were in place when we crossed. 

BTW:It was on its way to a demo hence the reason it was so far from home.
