Station 1 frontage
« on: April 06, 2007, 03:17:09 PM »
Anyone know when the front office area of Station 1 was remodeled. They removed the large window front and put in cement block with a small YFD seal and a steel door. Doesn't look nearly as nice as before...

I stopped by the Chief's office in late Dec to get permission to take photos of the new trucks and the secretary's office had been completely renovated. the front might have something to do with that project.

I stopped in to show some friends the downtown station and they have made that front area into a waiting room. Part of the remodeling was to better organize the Chief's secretaries office and the Chief Inspectors office. They are suppose to be putting a stain glass square window in the opening they left when they filled in the wall.

They are also planning on installing networked cameras to be able to see who enters the office areas.
