Youngstown , Ohio FD has an all Pierce fleet except for 2 ladder units. So 8 pumping units are Pierce from Saber to Contender to Enforcer to Arrow telesqurt.
It is a BUSY fire service with never-ending fully involved vacants AND occupied single and multiple-frame structures dating back to the 1910s when the city was in its growth era rather than its present "rust belt" decline .
These apparatus are meticulously maintained by the Pierce representative's mechanics and as such they are in service still. Forgot the 2 Dash units from 1987 still in front line. YFD is anticipating possibly 2 stainless steel Sabers or there abouts. So if that department can hack it then you are safe.
Next door is Liberty Township and they have a recent E-One Typhoon. Supposedly it's out of service quite a bit. Here in Warren ,Ohio all front line rigs are E-one including the 2004 Ladder 6. It has had nuisance issues here and there according to the Chief and the next apparatus will likely be a Pierce something or other.

That's true, except every time I go to Y town, it's dead. I did catch my first vacant structure fire, on Division Street one night. I was up hanging out w/Greg, and the run came in. Other than that, it's been trash/grass fires. It is cool to see all the different Pierce rigs. We have a Pierce Contender engine here in Columbus. It runs out of station 14. Seems to be doing ok so far. I think engine 7 and ladder 24 are my favorite YFD rigs.

in 1933 FDNY rejected 2 HI-pressure units from ALF. ONe went to Youngstown, OH in 1937 and the other to Ithaca, NY.
