Station 159/New Ambulances

Here in Glendale, AZ we dedicated our new Fire Station #159, which will house an engine, a ladder (I think its the Bronto), and our New American LaFrance Rescue unit.
Southwest Ambulance, Glendale's contracted ambulance provider also has finally updated the fleet with new ambulances. Unsure of the manufacturer at this time. Maybe some one can help, don't have a pic, but they have like this arched roof. Hard to explain.

Andy,
Nice to see you posting. It's always refreshing to hear something from parts away from the midwest on here.
The unit you are refereing to is a Braun Ambulance.
You can find a pic of the SW unit at this location
http://www.youngstownfire.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2996
It's about half way down. The Braun NW units you see on this thread are a separate company. Braun units are built in Van Wert, OH, part of their plant was destroyed in a tornado in 2000. The weather channel ocassionally runs a hourlong program about this tornado.
I sell Braun's in Michigan the SW unit I photographed was at the factory for repairs from a lighting strike. SW is also part of Rural Metro Corp. and currently they have about 300 Braun units nationwide.
I would like to see pics of your fire apparatus when/if you get a chance to post them.

Aha! Yep its a Braun, (E-350) there very nice looking, and the new engines sound so much better! I didn't recognize the manufacturer, Southwest in Glendale for last years have been buying I believe RoadRescues, but the new Braun's aren't badged. They are very similar to the Southwest your link pictured, of except for the paint. It is white on top, main color is traditional yellow, with only a blue stripe. It's a refreshing change! It's too bad I don't have a working camera right now---I could get all of Glendale's fleet!

Andy,
I'll have to check on why they weren't badged. Usually Braun puts the logo on the cab doors near the wheel well, and on the rear curbside just under the turn signals.
I'll see if I can dig up a pic of one of the new SW units. Sounds like they changed the paint scheme up, I'll wait till I see the new one but I sure did like the old one especially when brand new!

Andy,
Lets see if this is it. Pic Curtousey of Braun Inc.
From what I was told SW has been using 4 paint schemes for the past couple of years. This is a new one for them. Rural Metro used to be a Road Rescue account Braun has had it for about 4 years now, but change over with a fleet as massive as thiers takes quite awhile. SW has taken delivery of about 10-15 in the past year 1/2, the new scheme was done on 6 units all delivered in the past few weeks.

Thats it! Could be one of them stationed right near my neighborhood! Just add the graphics--at the top (white) it says southwest, and in the middle the sw logo with "committed to the city of GLendale" or something like that, at onthe right side in the thick blue line going diagnally vertical, it has the station number with is blue also, but the yellow outlining allows you to actually decipher the number....the double sirens are also a lot louder than the old ones which is great, b/c they aren't loud enough, (they don't have air horns), and they also don't have the light changing units that the fire dept has (turns all the red traffic lights to green)
I have seen about 4-5 of the new ones a couple for station 151, and I've also seen 157---

This pic shows the "old" style (90's purchases)--the new scheme involves more of the blue---the fire dept initiated adding more of blue.
