just finished loading 116 logo's on a cd rom. There are about 25 more that I have to reshoot as they came out to dark. There is also a box of them in the garage I have toget out...it's almost like christmas. There are some I have but won't be able to get them to you because I have a friend who is casting copies from them. I have mostly all originals and some one of a kind. get me an address and I will mail the disc to you. I also enjoyed tour fire house section on the forum..

The logo indicated for Fire-fad out of chambersburg Pa, I believe the party means Fire-Cab. They were short lived, built some export cfr trucks a couple od 674 internatioanals with right hsand drive ad a number of pumper for here in the U.S. I just found my sales manual for Fire-Cab and enclosed in the anual are a number of pictures of the aparatus produced. I will see if I can scan them and include tem in the apparatus section.

The listing for Fire Fab may well be a typo. Fire-Cab was in Chambersburg Pa. They have since gone by the wayside. I came across my sales manual for them which had specifiactions and photos of the units they did build. I will se if Ican scan them here at work andmaybe include them into the apparatus section under a ew title of Fire-Cab. The last of the aerials they built just recently got sold. It was a 1999 International 2674 chassis with a 105' platform and right hand drive. There were two of those built. The one that just got delivered went to Kaduna, Nigeria. Should be arriving in Nigeria now as I type this.

Ok gang, I uploaded lots of new fire apparatus manufacturer logos this morning. I think the number is somewhere around 90! Many thanks to Bill Craven for his cd full of nameplate photos. Bill has also send me a large list of manufactures and I know there are some not on my current list. I'll be cross checking his list with the site and adding manufacturers when needed so look for that very soon as well! Enjoy!

I spent 3 hours Saturday morning working on updating the Fire Logos section of the site. There is still more I have to work on so if you have any logos not on the site, please post them as an attachment here or drop an email to
gricker@youngstownfire.com
and I'll add them in!
I had emails from several people regarding sending me information, I haven't received anything from anyone yet. If you still want to send it, please feel free to.
There were three or four logos that I had but have now dissapeared from the site. I switched those back to Wanted. You might want to check and see if you were one of the people who submitted the logo and if so send it or post it again.
Check out the awesome Wilcox Trux history on the logos page! Thanks to Ronal Pearson for that information!
Enjoy!

Hey, Greg- Super site! Enough information and pictures to keep a guy busy reading for hours!
We manufacture wildland fire apparatus here in Central Montana, and would love to have our logo listed with your collection. While we specialize in Brush trucks, skid units, and Urban Interface bodies, our small company may be of interest to some of the members of your group who live and breath all things "fire". Would like them to feel welcome to check out our web site at
http://www.spikawelding.com
and click on the firetruck image at the top. Would be great to hear from our brothers in Youngstown...drop us a note!
Best regards to all-
Tom
Spika Welding & Mfg Inc.
PS While you're at the site, check out the "Studester" page...our company truck- a '46 Studebaker with a removable hardtop. Not a fire truck, but certainly a one of a kind![/img]

Ok, Finally I was able to add some new stuff to the fire logos pages! Yeahhhhh woohoo! Anywho, I've added logos for Brush Buggy, Classic Fire, American of E. Jordan Michigan, Gatco, 2 new Crown logos and Moreland.
I missed Spika Welding but I'll get that added sometime today
There are also new histories added to the history's page. Thanks to everyone who submitted logos and information. If you have any info that I'm missing, please feel free to post the info here in the forums or drop me an email.
Thanks in advance!

Greg - I'm not sure where to put this one. It's the Patent Number plate from a steamer in the Philly Fire Museum.

Hi there I am new here but I have just aquired a 1956 ford F-800 pumper. My search for information about this truck has led me to your search for logo's. This truck was made by F.A.E. ( Fire Apparatus Engineers ) out of Clayton N.Y. The 1000 islands. If you could head me in the right direction for info. I would appriciate it.
Here is a picture of the logo on the hood.
Thanks, Tom

Greg,
Get ready again...I've been busy photographing all of my nameplates and emblems. My collection has just surpassed 500 different brands, styles and models. I've only got A-D completely photographed, but will start getting those to you this week.
Please note that if anyone is interested in trading or selling nameplates, please let me know. I have many extras for trade.

No April Fools Jokes this time around.
This year, for the first of April, I bring you a major update to the Fire Apparatus Manufacturer Logos!
I've been slowly redoing the logos pages since about March of last year. I was waiting to get some more submissions from everyone who has been helping with the logos and I was planning on rolling it out all nice and complete from A-Z. Then summer came and everyone was doing outdoor activities. In September, I changed jobs and have spent the past 6 months getting adjusted to that (not to mention now working 8-5 and sleeping through the most productive hours of my day, the 1am to 3am hours). So all things aside, I've uploaded what I have done so far. Each letter is now it's own page and all of the histories for each of the apparatus manufactures are now at the bottom of the page they are on.
I have several more companies in the F section and the H section that I will add info on this week. Those should be up by Saturday.
I again must thank Dennis Maag for the bulk of the contributions to the logos site. I apologize for not getting all of these up sooner.
Bklyn Phil, I have your Christi and Front Wheel Drive logos to add.
Bill Friedrich, I have your Central and Rocketfire logos.
Greg Rundquist, I have the logos you submitted as well.
Carl, I have your CFA logo to add.
I have a cutsom Bickle-Seagrave logo to add as well.
I'll add the Spica one that was posted in this topic also.
Thank you to everyone who submitted logos. I'll have them added this week! If your name isn't on this list, please get in contact with me so I can check my emails or posts and make sure I get your contribution as well.
Thank you and Happy April!
