Hey everyone, I'm a probie with the Cardinal Joint Fire District (Canfield). Here is some quick info about our department. We run 2 stations and three pieces of front line apparatus at each.

Station 1
Squad 1 E-One Rescue Pumper (commercial chassis)
Ladder 1 E-One 95' Platform
Engine 1 FMC Pumper
Also, the Chief and Deputy Chief have their offices and respond from here.

Station 2
Squad 2 E-One Rescue Pumper (commercial chassis)
Engine 2 E-One Rescue Pumper
Engine 4 E-One Pumper

These Stations are currently staffed from 7am-11pm by two firefighters, and respond to all EMS calls,(our department runs ALS and BLS), car accidents and other non-major emergenices.  Squad 1 and Squad 2 are the duty trucks, however Engine 2 is currently being used at Station 2 as the duty truck. For a fire alarm or reported structure fire members respond to the station and from there to the call, all members are part time/paid on call. Any questiosn please let me know and i'll do my best to answer.

our un-official website is in its infancy at http://members.cboss.com/cfd

The Niles truck you were asking about was their getting some work done on the Hydraulics system. It is back and in service as a reserve at the #2 station.
Also the new truck was removed from the budget last year, it will be tried for again this year.
If you need info on Niles let me know I will try to help.

I'm talking about L-2 the one that was at Findley getting fixed, it sits in the right bay at #2 station on Rt 46 next to the cemetery that the Tornado hit.

That last post had a picture of T-3 in use at a bar fire about 3 years ago.
Just learning how to post on this site didnt see picture in preview so I didnt say anything about it.
I'll try to attach more to this post!

P.S. can I attach more than one photo at a time??

YFD4,

Can you get me a list of all Warren Apparatus since 1960??  What apparatus was stationed on Palmyra Rd.?  I remember as a kid ( 1980's ) when WFD had 2 ladders downtown, and the old ALF pioneers at 5 and 6.  I believe the old GMC/ALF aerial is a reserve piece housed on Atlantic St.  I also remember an late 70's Seagrave reserve engine at the Parkman Rd. Station.  I never knew they had a station on Palmyra until the late 90's.  When did the old #3 house close on W.Market St??

Thanks,
YARBFD10

Thanks for all the info YFD4.  I remember when the two ALF Pioneers where numbered as E6, and Reserve 1.  And the Duplex Omega was E5.  That was when the Pierce was E1 downtown.  Thats also when the snorkel was a reserve piece housed at 6.  Where was the 1980 Duplex housed before the 1992 Squad 1 came into service and it moved downtown as E3?

Thanks,

1980 FMC MOVED DOWNTOWN TO CENTRAL IN 1992 AS RESCUE 1 AND ENGINE 1
AS RESCUE 1 IT RAN CROSS-STAFFED
AS ENGINE 1 ON CERTAIN DAYS IT HAD AN INDEPENDENT CREW

WRITE TO ME PRIVATELY FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS SUCH AS WHEN STATIONS WERE OPENED AND CLOSED DURING PERIODS OF FISCAL SHORTAGES
