Know any good live scanner feeds? Post em here. I'm going to make this topic sticky! I'll start with the best of the live feeds on the net...

Youngstown, Ohio Fire Department
http://www.youngstownfire.com/live/index.htm

New York City (Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Manhattan)
http://www.thebravest.com

Boston, Mass Fire Department

Providence, RI Fire Department
http://www.thebravest.com

and here's a new one I just found...

Orlando, FL Fire Department

Providence and Boston are down, and have been for some time at TheBravest.com. It may be a while before they are back up from what I heard.

Houston TX Live Feed
« Reply #4 on: September 23, 2002, 09:27:46 PM »
There is a new Yahoo Group that is dedicated to the Houston, Texas F.D.  On the home page to the group there is a link to a live scanner feed (which I'm listening to now, good reception and no buffering interference).

Take a look at Houston Fire Dept in Yahoo groups.  You might want to sign up as a member so that you can send and read messages there too!

Also, you can take a look at Houston Fire Dept Active Incidents at this link.

Nice site!!! Our page has live dispatch from Luzerne County, Pa. (down at the moment) at: http://www.angelfire.com/pa3/DaBurgh/Station10.html

Note: the live feed is down at the moment but we have a bit of recorded stuff, not a lot, but I'm working on a re-design and updates in what little spare time I have. I run it off of a cable modem but have just added a router to it which has not worked well with the dispatch. I can't get it to broadcast without the router being removed, yet can't remove the router. If anybody has any suggestions as to an alternate way to ge it back I'd be glad to hear them.   BTW, I'm running OS8.XX on my Mac to do it and all costs to run the site come from my wallet not the fire dept's so the keyword here would be FREE.

Denver Fire Live Feed
« Reply #6 on: January 30, 2003, 05:47:49 PM »
I merged both live scanner feed topics together so they would be easier to read!  I got this email recently from a Live Scanner Audio List at Yahoo Groups.

I have split my feeds onto two different computers.

1.      Denver Fire, EMS, DIA

http://www.live365.com/stations/jimmnn

2.      West Metro Fire & EMS
          Golden Fire & EMS
          Evergreen Fire & EMS
          Englewood Fire & EMS

http://www.live365.com/stations/jimmnn2

Reception reports are always welcome to jimmnn@netbeam.net

NJ EMS Feeds
« Reply #7 on: January 30, 2003, 05:50:12 PM »
Here's 2 links, I don't think the first one works though. It's
Newark EMS Live dispatch.

http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/play.pls?stationid=184463

The second, is Camden NJ EMS Dispatch. It does work
http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/play.pls?stationid=184463

Otherwise, just go to http://www.uh-ems.org

Baltimore FD Coming Soon!
« Reply #8 on: January 30, 2003, 05:55:07 PM »
I just got word that there will soon be a Baltimore Fire Department Live Scanner Feed going online in the near future.

The Baltimore City Police are currently online and can be found over at www.shoutcast.com

Baltimore Fire will be there also when it goes live.   :!:

Shoutcast.com is the same live software that Youngstown Fire Live is on!

Other good places to try looking for Live Scanner Feeds...

San Mateo County California, which is where I reside now, has their CAD system tied into a web site where you can also listen to the radio traffic or get live updates on what is going on. You can also have incidents sent to your pager, email, PDA, or whatever, and best of all, it's free!

http://www.firedispatch.com

They also cover two other departments from that site, but I'm pretty sure San Mateo County is the busiest.

Not fire dispatch, but busy enough to keep your attention:

http://www.boston-ems.com

Broadcasting Citywide operations Channel 10 (most radio traffic)
Tactical Channels 9 and 12 (extended larger incidents)

Hey everyone,

I tried to access the Philidelphia fire news link for the live audio and pictures, and it did not work at all.   Is there another link to get to that site?  Just wondering

California Wildfire Live feed...

If you are interested in listening to the emergency wildfire situation unfolding in southern California, a live audio feed is available at http://www.firefeeds.com (click on the CA - San Diego link). So far, tens of thousands of acres and hundreds of homes have been burned, and at least a dozen people have been killed.
