The Seagrave paint shop log shows this pumper as being built for West Frankfort, Illinois with a notation that the rig was sold to Ripley. The R.F.D. has owned the piece since it was new, so my guess would be that W.F.F.D. couldn't make the purchase during the Depression. Steve Hagy photo.
