Gatesville, TX VFD
1941 Seagrave 500 GPM

Are you sure this isn't a 750 instead of a 500...as most of these were ??   :-\

The information (including pump capacity) that I posted was taken from a Seagrave factory list.

I did not have any further information on the truck other than the year model of the 1940s until further information was provided by Box 2565.

I didn't mean to make an "issue" out of the Gatesville '41 pump capacity, only questioned it as most of that era were either 750's or 1000.

Mass. had a '41 3-man cab that was rated as a 750 (factory list), but was found to be a 1000 later.  Apparently "the list" has some errors too.

This is a Ken Soderbeck restoration and some work continues on the tool box & ladder brackets.
This rig is stored at Station 72 in its own bay at the front of the station.  If any one knows the whereabouts of a Seagrave Fuel Cap / Guage, let me know as UA would like to have one.
